Qisas is punishment by causing similar hurt, or death in qatl-i-amd, in exercise of the right of the victim or a wali.
What does Qisas mean in plain words?
In qatl-i-amd the punishment is death as qisas where proof is available. An adult sane wali may waive qisas at any time without compensation, or compound it for badal-i-sulh. If all walis do not waive or compound, or fasad-fil-arz is attracted, the court may still punish the offender as ta'zir.
When will I hear Qisas?
The adult wali waived qisas, and the court recorded the waiver.
