A grievance petition is a worker's complaint, under the federal Industrial Relations Act 2012 (Islamabad and establishments in more than one province), taken to the industrial relations forum about a right guaranteed to him by law, an award or a settlement.
What does Grievance petition mean in plain words?
This is the federal route under the Industrial Relations Act 2012, which covers Islamabad and establishments in more than one province; other workers may be covered by provincial laws. Under the Industrial Relations Act 2012 the worker first gives the employer a written grievance within 90 days of the cause arising. The employer must reply in writing within 15 days. If there is no reply, or the worker is unhappy, he can take the matter to the National Industrial Relations Commission within 60 days.
When will I hear Grievance petition?
The worker gave a written grievance to the employer after his dues were withheld, and then went to the Commission when no reply came.
Which law covers Grievance petition?
